I would like someone to straighten me out on fatal error handling. Do XSetIOErrorHandler and XtAppAddErrorHandler handle the same fatal errors, or does XtAppAddErrorHandler cover more types of fatal errors than does XSetIOErrorHandler? Is it possible (or desirable) to use both in the same program? My reason for asking: If a fatal error occurs, it would be nice to pop up a message box to advise the user that the program must terminate, but if the program has already lost connection with the server, that message box can't be displayed. I'd like to know if the fatal error is so fatal that I can't even pop up a window to tell the user. thanx, carol -- Carol Chapman Tel.
