I have an SBLive! Platinum 5.1, and read a previous post of yours, where you
stated the LiveDrive (when asked about Platinum 5.1, so perhaps this is
limited to just the IR version?) can be integratd with the Audigy sound
card. What I want to know is whether there are any catches to it, and what
are they?

Obviously you lose the additional 1394 connector, but to me personally that
isn't very relevant in the near future if ever, though you can never know.
On the other hand, if the fidelity of the components on AudigyDrive and
LiveDrive differ so that, perhaps I lose 100dB SNR on the LiveDrive
connectors I would like to know that. And I would also like to know whether
the SPDIF I/O connectors I have on my LiveDrive will support 24bit/96khz
when connected to the Audigy sound card. (that is, whether this feature is
solely depenant on the card itself, or whether there are completely
different connectors on the AudigyDrive)

In short, any drawback using LiveDrive with Audigy card over the actual
AudigyDrive is relevant information in my consideration whether to upgrade
to Audigy or stick to Live.

It would be nice also if there were a possability to buy an AudigyDrive
seperately at a later time if some features missing on LiveDrive became more
important to me. Having the freedom to upgrade at a time of my choosing
could be another incentive.
