Playcenter 2 and Plextor Ultraplex 40max

When I use the new playcenter 2 I can not rip audio with this CD-ROM drive.
When I try to configure the drive using auto configure in settings it says
there is no audio disc in drive no matter what I do.  I've tried multiple
audio CD's to no avail.  Please help me out if you can.
