OE at VXD EMU ppl HELP

I was updating Live!ware-value to v2 and got an error at restart.  Now I get
a fatal exception at 0028:C15F731B in VXD EMU 10K1(01) at Window start up
and shut down-a very unpleasant thing.  I tried uninstalling Live!ware but
continue to experience this OE as described.  My operating system is Windows
98se.  How do I resolve this problem?   I can see no exceptions in device
manager/multimedia interface, it only shows up at start up and shut down and
press of key terminates it and windows loads but won't shut down.  I think
it may solve the problem by removing multmedia interface and rebooting then
following messages given to reload hardware, if that's what's being referred
to, I don't know and would appreciate some help.
