Does anyone know of a c-function that will automatically fill the required structures given any of these address forms: holly holly:echo holly:7 129.82.100.75 129.82.100.75:echo 129.82.100.75:7 I can do all these by hand, I suppose, using gethostbyname and the like, but I don't think these calls will understand the use of dotted decimal forms. Someone /must/ have written this code already, though! -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Michael J. Dwyer I doubt, therefore I might be. mdwyer@holly.ColoState.edu http://WWW.CS.ColoState.EDU/~dwyer/ Computer Science Major Amateur Radio Tech N0ZAP
