I administrate a cluster of 7 DecStation 5000/240's running Ultrix 4.3A
My boss was recently traveling in Japan and was unable to use email when logged in to our site. The first terminal
he was trying to use printed everything along the left side of the screen as one column, the other didn't accept
the emacs ^X^C command to exit. He is convinced that it is something about the way our system is configured that
caused this. He bases his conclusion on 15 years of no problems with our discontinued VMS system and the fact that
no-one else at the conference experienced any problems.
I am at a loss as to what to tell him. I'm convinced these are routine terminal interface problems but he won't
accept that. So in the faint hope that this is something I've done I thought I should ask.
Thanx in advance.
