We have  a Decsystem 5000-260 running Ultrix 4.3a. When a 4 Gb ST1515 disk
is connected as a second  hard disk- during bootup we got the following
error messages :-
....cam_logger:cam err

..cam_logger:bus 0 target 2 lun 0

..SCSI abort has been performed

The motherboard was replaced subsequently and the new motherboard showed
same error messages again. I can make out that the cam refers to the cam
SCSI driver. But why does this occur only when the 4Gb disk is connected ?
#  dskx   tests can go through  intermittently.

Do I have a h/w problem in my hands or is it related to an outdated SCSI
driver ?
SCSI cables have been shortened to the maximum extent possible .
