I've been given a Seagate ST 11200 SCSI disk (cf. http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/st11200n.shtml) which I'd like to put into a DECstation 5000 running Ultrix. Since it's in the DEC box it should not need to be terminated. I could jumper it to "Term. Power from Drive", "Term. Power to SCSI bus", or "Term. Power from SCSI bus". Which one is appropriate, if any? Also, it has three termination resistors (at least that is what they look like), but they don't seem to be intended to be drawn off or put in by the user. A last question: can I simply use newfs to make a file system, or has anyone a suggestion for mkfs parameters? (the old disktab problem on Ultrix [4.3 in this case]) I'm intending to make one entire partition from it.
