Minutes


1.   NAGPS Conferences
        a)National Board of Directors conference in Washington in June.
There was a motion to pay as much as we can of Jennifer's airfare and
hotel.
Motion was unanimously approved.
        b) Regional conference April 24th to the 26th in Tuscon Arizona.
Airfare, hotel, and registration fees for Jennifer, Jennifer, Scott, and
Tim were unanimously approved.
        c) Stacey from Anthropology has consented to attend the USSA week
in Washington from the 6th -10th of March.

2.  GPSA Appreciation Week
      Will be held 6th to 10th of April.  Various activities were
discussed. Each representative present was asked to scout for door prizes.

3.  UGGS Service Award 
      Tim gave out information regarding the UGGS service award. The
information will also be on the web-site.  The criterion were unanimously
approved by all.  Nominations will be taken during the next meeting.

4.  Diversity Panel Discussion
      Jennifer discussed information regarding the Diversity Panel. All
representatives were asked to help distribute the flyers.

5.  Financial Aid Workshop
      It will be held on March 10th from 2-3:30pm in UMC 159 A and B. Mary
Lowe from the Graduate School will be the featured speaker.

Reports
1.  Graduate School
     -The rumor about PhD's not being hooded during commencement was
discussed.
     -Graduate secretary nominations or the lack thereof were discussed.
     -Dean Small Grants award results will be announced by March 13th.
Applicants can call 2-7401 for information.

There were no announcements.
