Really???

I hold in my hand my Marrage License.

The only thing that the Marriage Licence does is confirm that
both parties are of legal age and live in that county. But it also
states "to any person or religious society _Authorized
by Law_ to Perform the Marriage Ceremony", and then gives
authorization. It also must be used in 30 days.

BTW, my blood test results are still attached, but now I find out
by all of you, so well informed about marriage, that I didn't need it.
Still, it states quite clearly on the results that it is required of
females in Colorado.

On the Certificate, NOT the License, two separate things, a space
for the county, date, place, designation of the official, and some
things about the laws of Colorado, a space for our names, towns,
and our signatures AND space for TWO witnesses AND the person who
performed the ceremony to sign AND affix the seal of the official.

At the bottom of the marriage certificate, NOT the marriage license,
it says, "This certificate, duly executed together with
the License, must be returned by the minister or officer who shall
have solemnized the marriage, to the office of the County Clerk who
issued the same, promptly."

More than just two people signing a piece of paper and mailing it
back is required.
