At the company formerly known as AT&T there are quiet a few straight and supportive folks in the lesbigay group. > >gs> Men have been excluded from the Take Back the Night march (where's the out- > rage there?) and from International Women's Week fora on lesbian issues. The last TBTN I went to in Chicago was organized by men, for their neighbors and guests. TBTN is grassroots, and meets the needs of the community. At UM, the men of our community were supportive with their Men Can Stop Rape campaign and were an important part of the experience. Strictly speaking "men have been excluded from the TBTN **march**"--some events ask the men to let the women march alone while the men hold their own program. Men are never prohibited from marching. These events can be very small or quite large and require parade permits and traffic police. Depends on the sponsoring organizations. > "Accomodation" like "separate but equal"? You know, common courtesy. > Dworkin agitates for censorship; Canada takes her ideas to heart and censors > *her* "work". Just desserts, I say. Which work? Anyways, taking to heart in the words of Lewis Carroll, "never try to teach a pig to sing--it's frustrating and annoys the pig", I will not participate in this thread anymore. You seem to be spouting things that simply are not true out of ignorance. It's not worth my time to try to enlighten you.
