Hi,
Can anyone tell me anything about the expected Y2K status of Genera
8.3??
Thanks,
Mike Harper
ALCOA
I bet a dollar it works well.
Why not set the date to Dec 31 1999 11:55 PM, then hack for a few
hours? Then you can tell us all how well, or poorly, it did.
There are a couple of known cosmetic bugs that have been reported by
customers who did just that. One causes the background process updating
the status line to blow out if you date display mode is set to mm/dd/yy,
I have a patch for that, if anyone needs it.
I am currently in the process of negotiating a more thorough testing of
Y2K problems for a customer of Open Genera 2.0. If this takes place, I
can give a more definitive set of answers afterward.
