I'm using an NXP100 -- an Ivory-based symbolics that communicates with the world via X (it has no terminal of its own). Problem: When I knock down all sceens on a particular X server then repop one, the color map is often screwed up. I usually use the :reuse nil (with start x screen) and :kill t (with halt x screen). I think that my machine thinks the x server still knows the color map. BTW when I say color map, my fantasy is that the symbolics has an association between a rgb spec and an integer (0...255) that specifies color to the SUN x server for that screen. Question: Is there a way to tell a symbolics screen to kill its cached color map and start with a new one? If so, how? If not, any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help. Jeff Barnett
