lt> I'm in Arlington an meeting someone from Cumberland for lunch next

lt> Does anyone know of a good place for lunch in that area. She will

Winchester is an okay place to have lunch -- but I regret that I don't know the
names of any places there. There's a small section of "Old" (or maybe it's
called "Olde") Winchester that you drive through as you take Virginia Route 7
west through the town, and I'd definitely recommend looking around that area.
If you can, agree on a date/time/place that would let you meet your friend and
then head for a restaurant together, unless someone here can propose a
/specific/ place they recommend.

The prices will knock your socks off -- that area isn't doing well, and the last
couple of times I've been out there the meals I've bought were quite
inexpensive.

One place to meet: on the west side of Winchester, on Route 7 as it leaves town
-- there's a SuperFresh supermarket there. There's also probably a town
library, but I don't know where it is. And there's a hospital center, also on
the west side of Winchester just off Route 7, too. I mention these ONLY as
possible places to meet, not as eating ideas.
