Neil Weisenfeld writes:

I've heard a lot of good things about Negril in Silver Spring. I
can't remember the name of the street that it's on, but

Negril is on Thayer St. It's OK, but there is a much better place
nearby: Jamaica Joe's, on Georgia Ave near the Silver Spring Metro.
Service is a little slow, but less surly than Negril, and the food is
much nicer. No Jamaican place I've ever been in (on or off the
island) has been a haven for vegetarians, but Jamaica Joe makes a
decent vegetarian Roti (stuffed pancake).

Also worth trying are Isola Verde and Fish Wings and Tings in Adams
Morgan.
