Coming from New Orleans and also having been to Legal Seafood several times I don't think you are going to find really good seafood around here.  
  
That being said you may want to give the Market Inn in DC a try.  It is located off the SE Freeway.  The Bethesida Crab house by the Tennely Cr Metro stop is also good.  In Silver Spring/Tocohma Park area there (sorry but I don't know how to spell them) Curshners and Crutchfields (or something like that.  STAY AWAY FROM THE ONES ON THE DC WATER FRONT. They would be run out of Boston or New Orleans.  The there is the Chesapeake Bay Seafood House, many locations around the area.  If you go into one with the 
mindset that you are going to make a pig of yourself because it is an all you can eat place then you will get you moneys worth.  If you go in thinking that you are going to find a home away from home go back to Boston.
