Lebanese Taverna, on Washington Blvd (better check the address -- I get
Washington Blvd, Lee Highway and Wilson all confused!). WONDERFUL food,
friendly people. I'm told they always have a soup available, but there's
no soup in the menu, ever. Next time /I/ go, I'm getting the soup.

They do /good/ pizzas -- but the pizzas are absolutely, utterly, incredibly
salty. I can deal with this -- but I usually make it a point to drink a large
glass of water before going, several glasses while I'm there, and a glass or
two when I get home. The first two times I had their pizza, I didn't realize
just how salty it was, and I was thirsty for two whole days.

They do a chicken dish that's along the /general/ lines of a gyro sandwich,
but with more sauce, and different flavors. It's dynamite, and so is the
corresponding beef dish. I've never had /anything/ there that wasn't first
rate.

Special tip: Lebanese Taverna is a stone's throw from Arlington Hospital, and
my wife and I ate at LT on our way to childbirth classes and such at the
hospital. Since our baby was born, we've been back with her several times,
often with friends along. The kid's gotten a /fine/ welcome, especially when
we told the manager/owner that we'd chosen that particular hospital because
we knew we'd be able to get great food just around the corner. And that was,
in fact, where I picked up take-out food for my wife the day after our baby
was born.

Prices: reasonable. They have another location, in DC, also.
