I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Georgetown Coffee, Tea and
Spice, located as you would expect, in Georgetown. (Don't ask me which
street, M or Wisconsin - I get them confused all the time. It's on the
one which is perpendicular to the river.)

I'm not a coffee drinker, preferring tea, and I get all my tea from
them. They offer a wonderfully convenient mail order service by which I
can call up in the morning, order several pounds of tea and have UPS
deliver it to my house in Baltimore the following day. They have a broad
selection of tea, and are very knowledgable about it. They will also
give small samples free if you just want to try a particular variety.

They also have coffee, of course, and it all smells very good, but I
can't comment on taste there. They carry all kinds of candies, cooking
doodads, Fornum & Mason goodies, and things like that there.

They float on kelp beds in the night, with sea urchins & eels so fine.
Across the water, dark and light, a raft of otter valentines......
