We recently went to Potomac Grill in the Talbot Center on Rockville
Pike. Some of you may remember it used to be The Rickshaw.   It's a
very pretty little restaurant and quite comfortable. The portions are
huge and nicely presented. The chef used to work at Phinnias (remember
them?) We've been there twice. First time I had the BBQ Chicken
Sandwich. Good roll, nice sauce, very tender chicken served with
potato chips that I think they rebrown in the oven or make themselves,
slaw and a pickle. My husband had a dish he just loved. Two huge
portobello caps filled with a crab imperial, drizzled with a balsamic
reduction. He raved about it.
Then a few days ago we returned. I had a burger (with cheese and
bacon). Good roll served with the same potato chips, slaw and pickle.
Husband had a peanut encrusted trout which was very pretty but way
overdone. They took that off our bill. I had a nice glass of wine and
my husband had a glass of stout.
The sandwiches are moderatly priced but the whole dinners are quite
high I think.
The service is very good and friendly. It's a nice neighborhood place
if they could get their prices down.
