Which kills more? "Overkill" in safety measures, or the absence of them? Considering the impact of speed bumps, stops signs added to control speed, stop lights added to do the same and other such stuff, one has to ask honestly whether more people die from the lack of these things or from the added air polution they cause due to stop-and-accelerate induced inefficiency. And if the added air polution is not a direct killer, then at least its shortening the lives of those with lung disorders.
