How about your International Network of Collision Reconstructionists? A organization formed 2 years ago and hosted by none other than Laser Technologies, the people who make laser speed guns and owned (50%) by GEICO Insurance. Hardly an unbiased source. They want to make speed the enemy so they can sell more guns. > Driver A pulls onto the cross street and Driver B is speeding toward > him. Crash! Who's fault? Both? Yes, but this is a two lane road where most accidents occur not on the freeway. Freeways are controlled access, people just don't pull out. I don't think anyone is saying there shouldn't be ANY limits, but for freeways, it should be reasonable and prudent (in rural areas of course) > > >I wouldn't explain anything to the officer. How about 80 in a 65 out in the middle of nowhere? > >I'll leave any explaining for court. > A wise decision. Yes, this way the cop will not remember me because all he can remember is the asshole driver that chewed him out after he tagged me. THe few tickets I've had the officer had a hard time remembering the incident and the facts surrounding it and tried to wing it.
