Then you shouldn't have spewed the cop with gravel. I've watched "Cops" and "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" enough to know that you don't mess with the cops. You certainly don't spew them with gravel right after they write you a ticket. Were you friendly with the cop when he wrote you the first ticket? Did you thank him for the ticket? Or were you angry and hostile while he wrote the ticket, and then you "accidentally" spewed him with gravel? > >> When does ownership of such behavior vest? > > > >When your response is voluntary and not coerced by a threat. > > So you're saying if I'm being chased by some nutcase with a rifle, and I go > over the speed limit, I won't get a ticket? What if you're being chased by a tornado? Is it ok to speed then? What if you're at the beach, and you see a 500-foot high tidal wave coming in? Is it ok to speed then? What if a hydrogen bomb goes off 5 miles away, and you see the shock wave coming toward you? Is it ok to speed then? The world wonders.... <Navy joke> You see, I can come up with some pretty good worst-case scenarios too! -- Scott M.
