I wish to pick a nit. <G>

It is legendary what the "truly high performance drivers", otherwise known as
race car drivers, do with rental cars - it definitely isn't staying anywhere
near the speed limit..  "Cannonball" Baker set many coast to coast speed
records (all unauthorized, I understand).  These guys take risks because -
that's what they like to do.  They generally aren't in racing at all for the
money - its for the adrenalin rush.
