I agree, however where I work reckless driving can include the first
two. What we've learned here is that the agressive driver invariably
commits one of the following three violations: speeding, lane
violations, tailgating. Just a few days ago I watched a motorist
commit all three in the space of less than 60 seconds. Needless to
say we had a little chat at roadside shortly after that and his
pocketbook is going to be considerably lighter after he pays the
fines. :-]

Perhaps there was, perhaps there wasn't. Either way I'd probably
move out of the guy's way just to be safe. Either way he's a hazard
to navigation and if he's going to tangle with someone it ain't a
gonna be me. On the other hand if I'm on duty I'll be finding out
real quick what his 'emergency' is.

Tragic.

That's why I'll give up the lane to these idiots when I'm driving off
duty. It's not worth getting hurt because of some idiot's impatience.

We had an instance here recently where one driver was chasing another
bumping his rear bumper. Finally the first vehicle went out of
control, crossed the centerline and got hit by a vehicle going the
opposite direction killing the driver and his two little girls. The
driver who caused this has been charged with three counts of murder.
What makes this whole thing so bad is that the driver who was killed
could have just stopped and had it out with the jerk who was chasing
him. It was a domestic situation that involved using vehicles as
weapons and now we have two little girls, innocent as hell, dead as
hell.

This particular case has a side note worthy of mention. Had the three
victims been wearing seatbelts they'd be alive. The innocent driver
headed the opposite direction was wearing his and he was treated and
released from the hospital.
