Its not even that- the AWD alone will shift the odds against any Mustang if the
stang driver doesn't know what he/she is doing.

My ex-gf had an turbo AWD DSM.  One night we were heading home [she was driving,
in her car] and we came to a light and a Cobra pulls up next to us. short story:
light turns green, stang looses its rear end in a cloud of tire smoke.  

Couple of key things here:
-both cars were stopped on a slight incline (advantage to the FWD/AWD)
-my ex-gf knew her car like the back of her hand (rpm shift points/engine
power band,etc...)
-driver X didn't know what the hell he was doing.

pretty funny when the guy pulled up next to us at the next light after about a
minute... he couldn't even look at us.
