Does anyone else commute in and out of D.C. on the Suitland Pkwy (from MD rt.4
to the South Cap bridge)? If so, do you think that the road work ever end? Our
carpool has been taking the SP for several years (unless the trafic report is
REAL BAD, then we go around the bltwy to 295). They have been working on this
road for years. The entire road is only about 10-12 miles long. It would do
our hearts good to at least see them working once in a while (instaed of
standing around all the time). These guys must be getting paid by the hour.
The rt.50 project has covered twice as much road in about half the time. Oh
well I guess it could be worse, I could have to commute up 95/395 which is
backed up daily from "...Dale City to Woodbridge, Lorton to Newington, The
Occoquan to Springfield, Edsel Rd to ..." in other words, the WHOLE THING.
