I drove up to Concord, Ma in March '93 (the day before the Blizard of '93)
using the route you described. I didn't have much trouble in Hartford, I think.
I'll be driving up to Vermont using the same route to Boston up to Hartford
(95-NJT-TapZee-87-684-84) and then switch over to 91 and just go up to Vermont
this summer. Do you know whether the construction is before or after the
intersection with 91? Any way around Hartford? (And the usual questions about
speed traps, etc... ;-) )

Interestingly--my sister who used to live in Mass and had to drive between
DC and Mass said that 95 was worse than 84 to the Pike.

Glad to hear you had no trouble!
