Check out Sam's Car Wash on Branch Avenue near Suitland Parkway.
There are two facilities: a great high pressure wand place, and a
tunnel wash just down the street.  The tunnel wash is among the best
I have encountered anywhere in the country, and they have taken
the unusual step of duplicating most of the important wash
equipment to ensure no car emerges dirty.  You will find most of the
"fleet" drivers from executive sedans, Supreme Court cars, and
many police cars there from downtown DC (only 5 to 10 minutes away)
so you know it's good.
 
The owners take great pride in both the tunnel wash and the wand
wash, and I have never been disappointed.
