A 2G DSM has a Cd of .29...doesn't get too much better than that.

Gee! Only $2000 to $5000! What a bargain! I can buy a new, larger turbo
for my car and pay $650 for it. The install kit for the 2G's is $150
worth of parts that you can pick up quite easilly. To bolt it onto a
1G, you need no kit whatsoever. A 16G turbo will take you into the
low 12's.

Then there is all that piping. You can replace a turbo on a DSM in
an afternoon.

Yea, there is only so much power you can get to the ground...good thing
my car comes with all wheel drive. Running 1.8 60-ft times on the
stock all season radials.

Nitrous on a Talon isn't that common. Why do it when you can just
turn up the boost?

Sounds like he made a mistake.

Ahem, I believe it was you that said that turbos on a Vette only
cost $2000 - $5000. So how is it a mistake to turn up the boost on a
DSM who's engine was designed to take the pressure when it isn't a
mistake to install turbos on an engine that was not designed to take
boost.

There are DSMs out there that are running 24 lbs of boost.

Oh, and who the hell is the rich boy...the person with a $24,000
car and a $650 turbo or someone with a $40,000 car and a $5000 turbo kit?

Logic? Who needs that?

Yea, the vette will go faster. But the Talon will run 12's all day
long and will probably still beat the Vette on the street where the
Talon has AWD traction and the Vette can't run slicks.

Yes, the Vette is a nice car, but I like having the modifyability
of a car that is turbocharged from the factory
