Whatever happened to the old tried and true rules of : "Drive on the right and pass on the left."? I suspect they are not taught anywhere now. Maybe it was based on single lane roads, and it cut down on collisions. Too bad they didn't take 'em all out of the gene pool before the new rules of "drive in any lane you choose". Sure I know, I can go just as fast in the right lane, but ain't it nice to be a self appointed cop in the left lane. Another rationale for those in the left lane...I don't get as much rain spray since I'm able to pace the cars in the other lanes to prevent those behind me them from getting in front of me, thereby keeping my windshield and auto cleaner. Also, I believe many drivers just are not aware that they live in the world with other people. Generally, I say, they are the people that can easily cut in lines, not hold open doors for those behind them, walk three abreast on a side walk allowing you to step into the street. Smile and submit until my ray gun is perfected....allowing me to remove all the paint from the offending car in front of me travelling below 60 MPH in the left lane.
