That reminds me of the time a few weeks ago when I pulled up behind a pickup truck on a freeway off-ramp, and noticed a hand truck sitting in the back, unsecured. There was a rope tied across the top of the doorway(?) of the pick up, but no door (or whatever you call it on a pick up... it's on the tip of my tongue, but it escapes me at the moment). Not enough to hold anything in. Anyway, I looked at it and thought "Boy, that looks like it could just fall right out the back -- what were they doing driving around?" And then as the light turned green and they pulled forward, the hand truck started to slide backwards and fell partly out of the back of the truck. The top of the hand truck was scraping cement and the bottom part was caught against the rope. I stayed put while they pulled away, so it didn't hit me, and they noticed right away what was going on and pulled over... but, yeesh! Secure those loads, folks... -- +-- Wendi Dunlap-Simpson ----- litlnemo@slumberland.seattle.wa.us --+ | Seattle, Washington, USA * Slumberland BBS, 206-323-5121 | | NOTE temporary site change * http://www.slumberland.seattle.wa.us | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+
