Rural speeds have increased, which is pretty damned harmless, as going 75-85 mph on most of these roads, assuming your car is in good shape, IS NOT going to get you into an accident. Of course, driving the cars that my family does, I may just be getting that warped view of speeding that a good german car gives you.
