Horseshit. You'll have a hard time finding someone more conservative than myself and I'll tell you that it's practically impossible to find qualified programmers and system admin folks these days. Demand simply outpaces local supply. I've been trying to find experienced programmers and admin folks for my office for months and have seen a veritable rogues gallery of unqualified people. The good folks are very well paid and very unavailable. The few qualified folks I've interviewed were all foreign nationals that required our firm to sponsor them for a work visa. So while I'd like to hire a US citizen, I'm not going to wait around for our educational system to catch up. And it's not like I'm in some farm town. This is New York City.
