If your cable TV, Internet or phone
provider is RCN, you must have received
the same serious-sounding letter from
them that I did. It says I have a deadline of
December 1 to establish a password and
provide answers to a couple of security
questions, to be used in the future
when I call to request service changes,
etc.

I'm not going to do anything about it.
According to RCN's Q&A at its Web site,
if I call in a service request and I
don't have the answers to the security
questions, they will have to call me
back at the phone number given on my
account to authenticate my request. That's
good enough security for me.
