I hate to just trash another service, but this one I feel
*really* strongly about. IDS has the worst service
of any company in any industry anywhere that I have ever used.
I only had a shell account with them, but they billed me for
a PPP account for 5 months before they could figure out
how to fix their accounting error. I called about 4 times
during that period to complain. One of the customer service
people once *lied* and said he had left a message for me at
my office when he had not. I had to call long-
distance to resolve my billing problems, too, because their
email billing didn't get back to me for over a month each
time I wrote.

I usually had to redial about 20 times before I could get
through to their dial-up line, and sometimes I couldn't
get through at all.

In all fairness, when I cancelled my service, I talked to
one of the heads of the company who seemed competent and
apologetic. Too little, too late, though.

My recommendation: go with Digital Express Group ( I think
that's their full name; they're in Greenbelt and their
domain is digex.net.) They were great for my shell account,
and I know another person who uses them now and is pleased.

I used another co. for a PPP account for a couple of months
and was happy with them, but unfortunately, I can't recall
their name. I'm not simply a whiner about all of them.

Hope this helps.
