Why did you untar it `tar -xvof`?
`rm -rf` that directory, and mv Wine-20020411.tar.gz to /usr/src if it's not
there alraedy...
cd /usr/src ; tar -zvxf Wine-20020411.tar.gz
cd *ine*
./configure --with-gnu-ld
make depend ; make ; make check ; make test ; make install
(it might not need the --with-gnu-ld and the "make test" and/or the "make
check" may not work. but at this point it ought to be installed)
ldconfig -v
to be sure the libraries are seen. Make sure that /usr/local/lib is in your
/etc/ld.so.conf so that the ldconfig will see it.

"build == "configure, compile and install", usually, but sometimes it just
means "see if it will compile without dying from errors". doesn't mean it
will work as advertised, but this is GNU license, if it breaks you get to
keep all of the pieces and it doesn't cost you anything.

the way I do it is
mkdir /usr/local/c
mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /usr/local/c/WirelessAP
cd /usr/local/c
wine --winver win98 WirelessAP/dw1100.exe
That will run C:\\WirelessAP\dw1100.exe
