Greetings --

I'm looking to buy better fonts for Aladdin Ghostscript, which I've
got on my linux box (see, this post _is_ about linux :).

Supposedly, Adobe Type Manager and Adobe Type Basics contain font
files in the appropriate format. However, the local computer
`superstores' don't seem to carry these, for some strange reason.

No doubt I could call Adobe and just order one of these packages, but
it would be useful to get some first-hand info from someone who has
actually bought a font package and successfully gotten it to work with
Ghostscript (Adobe or otherwise).

I don't need fancy whimsical fonts, just better versions of the boring
old workaday fonts such as Times Roman, Courier, Helvetica, etc. It
would be nice, too, if said fonts would work with WordPerfect 5.1 for
DOS.

So, can anyone out there tell me:
Which font packages are suitable for Ghostscript and/or WordPerfect?
Where can I buy them (preferably locally)?
  How much do they cost?

Thanks!
