I was very happy with Patriot Computer Group, aka patriot.net. They run
Linux and speak it, too, if it ever comes up. Newsgroup service was
unremarkable--it just worked. I got a busy signal twice in two years.
The one time the service went out the president sent an apology to
users. I thougth the price was reasonable, tho I could wish for more
online storage. I had to pay a small premium for an extra 5 meg.

They're over by GMU I think.

I switched to comcast very recently to have high speed access. They
subcontract with Giganews for news and it's a pain in the neck. It
frequently fails to remember the userid it gave me as a valid one,
forcing me to reapply online and have it mailed out. Complaints to
Giganews were referred to Comcast. Comcast points back at Giganews and
makes a face. Very childish.

So, Patriot.net is good and a friend to Linux users.
