What about if there is only one message in the thread and it contains
"RE:" in the subject line, would it then be possible to change the
thread listing for just the one message. I appreciate this wouldn't
be appropriate generally, but if you have deleted all messages in your
thread and the next day you get one more message which contains "Re:",
I just thought it would be quite nice to "change" the display to
reflect that it is, in fact, a continuation of that thread, rather
than a new message. I agree that if there is more than one message,
then the "Re:" should be stripped though. By the way, I am talking
about the thread display that hits you when you first enter your mail
  or news folder.

Incidentally, while we are on such things, would it be possible to
"sort" the threads a little better. For example, in a news and mail
folder, you may see three messages in a thread, go down a few threads,
then see a few more with the same thread. Why not sort them all into
one thread? This would be particularly helpful in lists and
newsgroups, as you tend to "filter" a lot of rubbish. Now you could
"kill" all the threads, but this takes longer than just scanning down
quickly, and finding multiple occurrences of the same thread when
doing this is just a little irritating. Would it be possible to do
something about sorting? Perhaps in the indexes? Or, are you
displaying all the threads in "date" order, so if a thread comes
later, you get it again later. Is this it? I would be interested in
  your thoughts.

All the best and keep up the good work.
