It was done by Gordon Beck some time ago as part of his OS/2 port. The
current OS/2 version (2.17d) has all of the 2.16d fixes plus fixes for a
number of other bugs that were reported (mainly access violations
unnoticed by DOS).

A started a thread in this group several weeks ago canvassing opinions on
whether we should move KA9Q to an ANSI C baseline. Malcolm was happy in
principle to move to an ANSI version but he wanted to make sure that such
a move wouldn't break any existing versions of KA9Q derived from the
Demon sources. I recall that the consensus reached was that moving to
ANSI would be a good thing and would not materially affect any of the
other versions tracking the Demon sources.

If you want to look at the ANSI source, it's included with the OS/2
version and the URL is something like

    ftp://ftp.demon.co.uk/pub/os2/netos2/ka9q217d-os2.260.src.zip

There are Makefiles for Borland C / Microsoft C under DOS as well as
Borland C / IBM C under OS/2. I'll try building the DOS version with
Borland C 3.1 later on today.
