Hi fellow sufferers.

After lots of problems setting up my 1.35 OASIS, I was told that it was all due
to a new MODEM at DEMON and that I needed a `config' line typed in at logon time
or smtp wouldn't operate...or anything else for that matter.

HOWEVER, since the first time I typed it in, it doesn't seem necessary any more.
Does this mean you only have to do it once?

Over the last couple of days, smtp works sometimes, then it doesn't, then it
does again. Does anybody know why??? If so, please email me!

It's no good ringing DEMON. After hours of ringing and finding them engaged, you
finally get through, mention ATARI and they all go into a flat spin and rely on
their old standby...

..`There's something wrong with your software, but nobody here knows
anything about it.' ;>    

I'm now waiting for OASIS writers to finish the all-singing, all-dancing 
version of OASIS with ICE. I'm also waiting for the next ST Format so that I can
make head or tail of how I'm supposed to use the CAB/STIK package after the
struggle of configuring THAT programme! ;>

We'll get there in the end. Then I'll be able to access my OWN Web page! ;<
