I've been using NOS until discovering Oasis recently. I agree the interface is a
lot more attractive but I have a question: When I log on using Oasis, once it
connects to the News server, it takes ages to read the articles and lists each
one that it is downloading. Similarly when I exit, it takes a long time to sort
the articles. Neither of these things happens when I am using NOS. Is this
correct? If I use any more than a few newsgroups, this process is going to take
forever each time I logon.
        I do want to use Oasis but it doesn't really make sense if this is going
to happen; NOS at present is a hell of a lot quicker.  Maybe there's something
wrong with my version?
