It is possible that you have set something up wrong in your files or maybe you
just aren't aware of what to type. So I'll give you a few commands and if you
already tried them then there is probably a problem in your setup.
1, The irc servers in the config are Steve's defaults and seeing as he is in
Australia-so are his servers! Obviously sending your messages to servers on the
other side of the world isn't very usefgul so set your sever to
dismayl.demon.co.uk .
2, Once you are on then you nned to join a channel to do this type: /join
#[channel] eg: /join #atari . You should then just type and people will hear
you.
3, To get a list of channels type /list but use arguments or else you will be
there for hours. You can use lots of parameters but the most useful are wildcard
-max & -min. Eg to see all channels with "donkey" in the name with between 3 and
10 users you type: /list *donkey* -max 10 -min 3.
That should get you started, if you ask someon on #atari then they'll probably
help you out with the rest of the commands.
