OK, I know it's off topic but I'm sort of stuck for the moment. I've been setting up a friends machine to use Compuserve on the Internet, and the PPP script doesn't seem to work. I suspect the problem is that I've been trying to connect via a local Mercury network rather than a genuine Compuserve point of presence. Can someone please either send me details of a script that will allow me to connect via one of the networks, or the telephone number of a genuine London Compuserve POP. I don't have the machine at the moment and I don't have a Compuserve account and he goes back to Rome tomorrow, so I'm in a bit of a rush and would appreciate a quick answer if possible. BTW, if you think the Demon helpline is bad, you ought to try the Compuserve one. Totally impossible. -- peter@petermc.demon.co.uk
