I think your update intentions and implementations are great, have served me well, and have served many, many people. On the other hand, how the hell was I supposed to infer that the system heap bit being set in the 2.0.4 driver was a form of "properly licensed - i.e., legal" protection you took advantage of when setting up the updater? I figured that it was an oversight on the part of the person who created the updater, not a check for legal ownership. I am a legal owner of MacTCP, from Adam's Internet book, but for the life of me I couldn't find the floppy that came with the book. I'm sure it will show up one day, along with a few hundred un-paired socks. All my archives (I have DAT archives of all my hard drives for the past 3 years) had 2.0.4 saved with the system heap bit already set. So I guess I'm sorry for my subversion of your intentions, even though I thought I _was_ doing the "Right Thing"... Bill S
