Well, I tried an AOL installation out tonight, and before connecting you
to the internet and registration, it connects to some AOL site and
downloads some phone numbers for you to choose from. It managed that okay,
but when I tried to connect properly, for registration etc, it failed to
establish a proper connection and eventually timed out.

I'm beginning to think that the internal modem on this new pc may be the
culprit. Everyone has said that connecting with a pc (as distinct from an
Amiga) is very easy.   :-/
