I use  a PC sportster (as opposed to a Mac & Fax) on both a PC laptop and
my mac.  You'll need a mac modem cable :

a hardware handshaking modem cable for a mac (pins are looking from front!)

top left            blue         No Connection
top middle        purpler    No Connection
top right          black        7

middle left       orange     2
middle middle   yellow     7
middle right     green       3

bottom left       brown     4,20
bottom right     red          5

and TCP/IP for your mac (unless you have all the mac software (You sne t
this message from a PC - so I can't tell).
