I have someone calling at the weekend who is having difficulty connecting to Demon using a Powerbook she got in Canada, apparently without manual for the modem, and in spite of long calls to the support desk she is still at a loss. I only know the USR and Global Village which are very different to set up. Can someone please let me know a workable init string to start with. My MacSlip suggest AT&F, which sounds like a good place to start but what is the trick in the terminal emulator to configure this modem? I really just need something in preparation to get the thing going. Once I see the thing it'll probably be fairly straighforward. In case my magic newsgrabber misses any articles, I'd be glad of a reply by email. Thanks, John
