Thank you to all who are replying to my posting. One question before I 
go and order a battery... can it be the battery even when nothing 
switches on? The hard drive doesn't spin up.. the fan doesn't come on.. 
nothing.. not a sound!

And is the battery the red thing toward the front of the motherboard on 
the 6200?
