It is probably a Dynalink made by the Askey Computer Corporation in
Taiwan.

Yours is probably a 1428VQH

I have not ever seen a Dynalink with flash.

I think you mean the ** command. The manual just repeats a lot of what
is in Rockwell's manuals. The Rockwell chipset may have code to
download flash, but I rather doubt if you board has flash or is capable
of having flash.

A lot of Askey modems are sold in Microcomputer Research Inc boxes.
That is why they are often referred to as MR modems. Dynalink modems
are sold under many different names. You will find Web pages for Askey
at:

 http://www.askey.com.tw

but they are a very high volume, very low overhead operation only
interested in selling you modems in thousands and I seriously doubt
whether you would get any useful reply from them.

If you want a 33.6 modem then I would recommend selling the one that you
have and buying a newer similar one as the cheapest possible route.
